Hello KM Members!
In case you have not noticed there is a "sticky" post at the top of the page with instructions to order your t-shirts. PLEASE PLACE YOUR ORDERS ASAP so that we can have an idea of how many in each size category we should order.
Let us know if you like the revised for the zillionth time logo. We really worked hard for you and hope you take this to heart.
Fanm, it was a pleasure working with you. YOU ARE NOT THE WAY YOU PORTRAY YOURSELF ON THE BOARD AT ALL! You are funny as heck though
To the members: (this is a true story)
We embarked on this project thinking it would be a one-two-three project so long as we had the logo--welll! We did do this from the bottom of our hearts with nothing but the willingness to make you feel like we are united front here on KM. (by the way who?, contrary to your words, WE COULD NOT USE THE LOGO AS IS ON THE SIGHT TO PRINT THE T-SHIRTS). We had to get the logo redone first by a professional who happened to be my cousin, and due to the printers we were not able to go with his version. He had to travel on business, and therefore could not help us so we then had to find someone else to work on his idea (hopefully Patrick will share that logo with the board) and ended up with a version similar to what you see on the "sticky" post. We then has to get another graphics artists/designer to change the font and colors the way we thought would look better and when we finally got everything done, the printer told us--oops sorry "we can't work with the file as is" and the we needed to up the DPI and Pixels and everything you can imagine. The last person who worked on the logo needed the original file from the person who recreated it from the version my cousin did, to circumvent having to redo the entire thing and the person who had recreated somewhat what my cousin had done originally was not reachable--I mean the saga went on and on and on and on. Let me not forget to mention that coordinating with people working on the logo was very frustrativn because on the one hand the printer would call us and tell us we need this that and the other and when we gave it to them they would ask for something else and we couldn't reach the graphics person... All in all we did learn alot about printing t-shirts and having logos printed on them though.
We came close to giving up but when I wanted to throw in the towel, Fanm would encourage me and when she wanted to call it quits, I would encourage her--that is how this whole t-shirt thing went .
I told you this story because I wanted you to understand that we weren't sitting around not working on the project, we were just meeting one road-block after another, after another, after another, after another. But it's done and now we need you to show us your appreciation by keeping your end of the bargain and placing your orders as soon as you possibly can. We've gotten a few orders already
Wear your t-shirts with pride and with the knowledge that we worked really hard to bring them to you! _________________ Peace,
Chachou
