Here it is. Listen to the first single from the New York based group DOLA featuring ARMSTRONG JEUNE, JEAN MAX VALCOURT, MADMAN JP, and BALAN. Click on the link below.

The name of the track is "AFTER PARTY".

Does it get a PASSING or FAILING grade?

You make the call by telling it like it is.

I was really interested in hearing this single. Whats funny is I was humming the hook, " Dola bay yo kompa", earlier today when I was at work.

I dont know, I think the SONG has a good base and foundation. And it has potential.

I like the "minnin zanmi nou" part its very catchy.

But I must be HONEST, it needs more, but I dont know what it is.

Im not feeling the BACKGROUND vocals, I would prefered to hear something different. I think the background vocals are very ordinary. I think adding some FEMALE'S vocals wouldve made a difference. The current background vocals are too simple. The only background vocals to me that should REMAIN the same is "DOLA BAYO KOMPA" and "Minin zanmi nou"

I think they can bring some more to the track. Because they are gonna have to come harder than this.

I give them a 3.5/5

Good job guys.

THE SONG IS VERY ORIGINAL AND HAS SOME NICE GROOVES BUT I DON'T THINK ITS A SONG THAT COULD PUT THEM ON THE MAP.

ANMWEYYYYY!!!!!!
I tell you this: I have a million songs at my house to exaggerate but never come across a song like this. This song is original. A hit, I don’t know.
If Tampa people dance this song in the club than I know is a hit; it is so difficult to get people in Tampa to get out of the norm but I think this song will do.
When the song switch to the plot of the track: “After the show is the after party” on the two minutes mark, that’s when I started messing with it in my PC and check the different cues and see as much damage this song can bring to the HMI only if the fans give it a chance. This song has potential; great job Dola! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

For a new band and this being their first single, I give it a passing grade.
Armstrong's vocal range is undeniable.
The potential is there for this band to have succes but it will all depend on their marketing.
Personally I'm not really feeling the name "Dola" but as far as the music, so far so good.

Much love
Raymi

If I didn't know, I would have thought Nickenson Prud'homme played the keyboard. Seriously!

I like the "After the show is the after party" and "Mennen zanmi ou, m'ap mennen zanmi m'..." parts. They are very catchy.

The "Dola bay yo Konpa" hook is good too. I was expecting it to be groovier with the guitar. I'm feeling the drumming programming.

The song is good. I also think it needs a little something.

Are you sure Nicky didn't play in that song???

Anyway, passing grade!
