I think any person has the right to be a fan of any band, but I think APPROACH is key.

If a person is a FANATIK malade of a band A and then goes to be band B and appears a malade too, then of course it causes confusion.

The bands also needs to understand fans have their taste and that doesnt mean the fan has betrayed but maybe the fan has just appreciate another band.

And that even if u re "fanatik malad" !!!!
B4 being a fanatik (malad or not) ou sé moun !

Si band la gen prob ak sa sé band la li menm ki malad !

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Loyalty in the sense of supporting the artist in good and bad times?? Sure, especially if one is always professing their love and admiration of "X-band" I supose this makes sense. But if you're refereing to fans whose musical interests involves other bands...besides band "X"...then this is unfair of the band/artists. The sun does and should not shine only on one band...fantacism--especially blind fantacism in any event is not a good thing. Idea Idea

The bands who do think this way are frankly fooling themselves if they beleive fans can or should not have other bands of interest.

However, it may indicate how fickle some people are in the sense of prefering the "Flavor of the Month", rather than their "die hard" favorite band.

Everybody keeps using the term "fanatik malad,'and I just wanted to give the correct terminology for such illness, DjVICElitus. It's defined as a permanent impairement of the senses, especially when it comes to developing appreciation for the arts.

DO THE FANS OWE LOYALTY TO THEIR FAVORITE BANDS?
(Should it be considered an act of "betrayal" by the band once a "fanatik malade" or just plain huge fan of the band starts praising OTHER BANDS?)
If I am attending your concerts, buying your CDs, and giving you props when props are deserved, then that is as loyal as it gets.
If a band considers it an act of "betrayal" if I start praising other bands (rival or not), then oh well. They can say I am jumping ship or whatever. If you are playing good music and you deliver live, then I will have your back. Once you are no longer giving me the kind of music I want to hear, then this "loyalty" begins to go down the drain. Sorry!

Do the bands have the right to get upset at the fans because they might be looked upon at as a "GAD PALAIS FAN", meaning they are praising the "flavor of the moment", or the band that happens to be HOTTER than their favorite band?
Unless you have a good friendship with the band, I don't see why they should get upset. Also, unless you feel threatened by this other band or insecure compared to the other band, then there really is no reason why you should get upset. Idea Arrow

No I do not think they owe them such thing. We have the rights to like other bands

It could be si Djazz la ap investi nan fanatic sa pou li ka toujours praise li. For example ba li free cds, Vips etc...

It depends on the situation Pat. Like I said earlier Pat, If the band is investing (money, cds, vips) on that Fanatic malade, yes they have the rights to but if they're not I don't think it's fair for them to think of fans as Gad palais.
