On Thursday April 12,2012 the national t.v station PBS will show a documentary on the Haitian band Septentrional. The show titled "When the drum is beating" is scheduled to air at 10pm, but it's always good practice to check your local listings.

Demain soir, 12 avril 2012, à 10 heures, la chaine PBS diffuse un film documentaire sur l’Orchestre Septentrional, “ La Boule de Feu d’Haïti”. Il est intitulé "When the drum is beating". Faites vos plans pour ne pas rater ce programme.

Normally PBS is right after the local channels.

I was a little disappointed by the piece.

I thought it was going to be more about the band and their music.

I get that they could have talked about haitian history that the band has lived through... but there was too much of it that was not necessarily linked to the band.

How canyou talk about Septen without talking about their main rival "tropicana".

I don't know... I felt that the piece left something to be desired.

It was nice seeing Ulrich Pierre-Louis.
