GERALD KALIKO who was heavily involved with KREZI when the group first came out, as well as TOXIC, says that HIS DAYS OF HMI BAND MANAGEMENT ARE OVER.

KALIKO says that the business has changed, and that while he has no problems giving advice to some if he is called upon, he will no longer fully involve himself with an HMI band in terms of management.

I see nothing but FAILED missions....in Kaliko's book....Advice my foot...
Kote jazz sa yo...ki sa li te regle pou yo vreman...I am still looking for a success story...in terms of jazz management...
When a band is doing well any fool on planet earth can get them some gigs because the calls will come automatically.....The evaluation of a manager should be how you continue to book and promote the band and to help the band advance when the grass is not so green on your side of the fence....
I can't recall Krezi or Toxic being part of any significant event in the U.S ie New Orleans Festival or Summer in the Park in N.Y or other U.S cities or get any sponsorship or endorsement or being booked heavily even in the Haitian bal circuit...and they both have good stars and good songs on their albums and videos. Waiting for phone calls and pen it in a book, asking for the deposit and pay the band after a show can be done by any clerk or receptionist on planet earth...Moving the stick forward by constantly looking for opportunities, negotiate on behalf of the group, defend the band's interest, and creating ways to sell the band is good management.
How well did manager Kaliko defended the Krezi case in the U.S against the many promoters who are going with the Kreyol La dare..."kote Krezi ye nou pa la..." Did the manager put his feelings and friendship or business relationship with the other promoters first against the band that he supposed to represent...Why Krezi is still ABSENT on some of the major Konpa events in the U.S?....even in Kaliko's own corner.
What about Toxic...I didn't even know that Kaliko was their Rep...in fact I didn't even know that Toxic had a rep....Jodi a jazz la kraze.....unfortunately...that's the word in Haiti..even if jazz kraze pa konn bay rapò di yo kraze...se gade ou gade ou wè muzisyen pral nan lòt jazz which is the case for Toxic at the moment.....Eske Toxic te janm jwen chans li nan Diaspora...I will be the first to say NO....no presence at any of the festivals, not even La Nuit Des Jeunes. So what is Kaliko's success story...in terms of Krezi and Toxic...so once again...What ADVICE can he give....People who give advice are people who can point out that they took band X from the bottom of the chart and move it up the ladder...but if you have two bands under your management and they never made it even to the half way mark...and now you are talking about giving advice...An verite mwen pa wè klè...
