T-VICE and DJAKOUT #1 got a rather huge compliment/sign of respect from 25 + year HMI veteran RALPH CONDE on....

TOUT MOUN SE KANAVAL 2 JAZZ SA YO KE YO TOUJOU AP TAN'N...and that's because of the rivalry over the years."

RALPH CONDE continues "Having said that, their rivalry CAN'T compare to that of SCORPIO/DP EXPRESS back in the days. If for example DP was going SOU BETON AN, and you happened to have SCORPIO COLORS (Blue and White), or vice versa, and you were walking in a crowd of rival fans....YOU COULD LITERALLY GET KILLED. These days, you don't have that with TVICE and DJAKOUT fans. Most of them are NOT fanatik malades like back in the days. You even have some fans today who actually like BOTH BANDS and are even friends with the "enemy". That would be unheard of in the SCORPIO/DP days."

He has a point but both bands should refrain from waiting on the other to come out with their merengue first. The longer they wait the easier it is for other bands songs to become more popular then theirs.

Thanks for the FYI as to DP and Scorpio, didn't know that.

thats tuff.... thats like gang rivalry right there ... well I for one think its better for HAiti not to be in that situation ...we have enough problem to deal with and in a situation that could end or shut down kanaval due to deaths or injuries if it can be avoided i'm all for it ...

but that is some interesting stuff thanks to Ralph conde for sharing
