If what our sources are telling us is accurate, it looks like a BARBECUE PARTY and a ZOUK NIGHT knocked out 2 high profile HMI parties last week, one in New York, and the other one in Miami.
PROMOTER WHO WENT TO NYC PARTY said this "The numbers for that party last week was way below what it was supposed to be. If they had 500 people there at that huge venue...SE CHANS. The funny thing is, when I and my friends left that party, we stopped by at a free barbecue that was being held in Brooklyn from earlier that day, and it was 3 AM when we got there, THAT BARBECUE HAD MORE PEOPLE THERE THAN THE 2 BAND PARTY THAT I JUST GOTTEN BACK FROM. There were a lot of HMI people at that barbecue, including fans that I am used to seeing at regular HMI parties. That goes to show you that if the people get FREE FOOD AND FREE DRINKS at a barbecue, they will NOT be attending any HMI parties THAT SAME DAY. That goes for the majority."
For the other party in Miami, this is what we got from a source.
MIAMI PARTY PROMOTER: "The promoter for that party in Miami actually told one of the artists on that card that they had to cancel because tickets were not selling well, and that there was a ZOUK night that same night selling tickets CHEAPER, which was causing their bal not to do well. Whether that was a legitimate excuse or a real one, I have no idea."
