Great news for them. They need to know that this mean serious business now. And they better not mess with our full band kompa genre. One advice REHEARSE REHEARSE REHEARSE!!!!!!! and listen to constructive criticisim. Good luck!.
JM P. i think it is Thebeau, i am not sure of the spelling.

CaRiMi need to add some more live musicians before they can call it a live band. where are the horn players? Ab Normal.

I could not agree more. We are making progress but in order for Kompa music to really achieve its power and glory it needs HORNS!!! That has been Nu LOOK and Zenglen signature.

Mex,
Keyboards are overused. I would love to hear some horn solos in some of the existing bands with horn sections. Even Sysem has moved away from horn solos.

If Carimi adds a second guitar, they'll be in business for good. Good move either way CaRiMi.

Gromosso,

I have a STRONG feeling that it is in part because of Krezi Mizik. The competition is tough out there.

Djaz la ap fè tout moun nèt LOCO!!!

Does anyone remember when Phamtoms added horns to the band? It made a HUGE difference.

Phiz

Se pa tout bagay ki passe nan industri a pou kouri di it's because of Krezi non man. Could it be because of other bands as well?

Krezi is NOT the only band in the biz.

I know you are close to the Krezi camp according to Ti Joe but...pa fe sa mon cher. Laughing

Pat, to Phiz defense, we're just having fun with the whole KREZI comment. In all seriousness though, I don't think CaRiMi needed to become a full band because they don't cater to the full band crowd in terms of their music production. I guess what I'm saying is they don't have to worry about producing Heavy Compas Direct records. They're a pop band (Pop Compas) and not Compas Direct. They were doing just fine with this current format in my opinion but if they felt the need to evolve, more power to them and I don't blame them. Besides, it's not like they have to compete with Big Dawgs like Djakout, Nu Look, and Zenglen.

I don't know if what I said made sense. Rolling Eyes

Yeah, I remember, NegKreyol. Now, who's next?
Kunta's comment makes a lot of sense. Carimi is probably the second most successful Haitian band in the world, following Tabou. Not even the sky is the limit if they play their cards well. In 20 years, Carimi could have gigs in outer space. Razz
