*BREAKING NEWS: CARIMI WILL BECOME A FULL BAND IN MAY!*

We found out from very reliable sources that CARIMI will make the transition to a FULL BAND in the month of MAY when they debut their full set at the HAITIAN COMPAS FESTIVAL. They will be adding a CONGA PLAYER and a GONG player.

They have alledgedly been auditioning for the two spots, and from my source's account, one spot has already been filled by a well known musician (I know the name....NAP SEZI...ANMWEY!!!!) who knows how to play BOTH INSTRUMENTS. They just don't know which instrument they will have him play because they are waiting to see what else comes out of the auditions.

From my account, auditions are still going on as we speak.

Again, KM has confirmed from very very close sources that CARIMI will turn the band into a FULL BAND in the month of May, where they will make their debut as a FULL band at the Haitian Compas Festival.

This is a very good thing for CARIMI...they keep their word.

I remember way back when they were first coming out Pat had asked them what was the format going to be: Richard said "For now we are going with the digital format but eventually become a full band in the future."

...Also remember when I said in 15 years Kompa Digital will be something of the past???? BENYVICE ou songe??

Eh, bien! it's happening sooner than I thought.

I think the timing is right for Carimi as a band but also because full bands are dominating the HMI right now in terms of popularity with the fans. People are getting tired of the digital bands all sounding the same . Good move Carimi.
