GAZZMAN: DID HE TAKE A HUGE GAMBLE WITH.....................

I was talking to a huge fan of GAZZMAN's last night and he told me that the NAME "DISIP" is a big turnoff to a lot of people; and he knows for a fact that there are people out there who don't support Gazzman and the group SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THE NAME.

He told me that he would have preferred the rumored name "SHOWTIME", and he feels that would have had a lot more impact, and in the process would have brought in more people to COULEUR and the crew. The guy told me that IT TOOK A LOT FOR HIM to support Gazzman because of the name; but he had no choice because he simply is a fanatic malade of the singer.

Could he be RIGHT or WRONG in terms of the name "DISIP" possibly turning a few people off; and in the process having some sort of backlash for the group/vocalist?

I really don't agree with that FANATIC MALAD I don't think people don't follow DISIP or support it becuz of the band name.....

Will the name keep you from supporting the group? If NOT you personally; being that I know you are involved in church activities, do you believe the name would be a factor for people NOT to support the group; just like the FANATIC MALADE told me?

My biggest turn off is when Gazzman compare his band to GOD himself, the Holy Trinity.

Le misye di "Nou se Disip." "Papa a... ", those are 2 different phrases. Si yon moun di'm non se PA vre, then you're saying he is giving the definition of the word disip, which makes NO SENSE AT ALL...

I'm sorry, can't digest that. I'd rather die.

My number one problem with this group is the name: I swear...

the name Disip TURN ME OFF BIG TIME!!!
the first time I heard the name, I said HELL NO!!! and then I said there's no way that Gazman would come up with that name, only LAPORTE!! but I was wrong!

My number two reason was the poster... with the ancient clothes in the desert... THAT WAS JUST FOOLISH!! by looking at the poster, I finally realise that "MEZANMI!!! GAZMAN TONBE ANBA YON BANN GWO VANT!!!"..

My number three reason... LAPORTE!.. laporte pa mayestwo...

the name would not keep me from supporting the group.

Especially now that Gazzman seems to have dropped his moses personofication.

My main issue with disip had always been that I dont think they can deliver musically.

But if they can prove me wrong on that front, i wont mind supporting them.

But I could see how the name would turn others off to the point of not supporting the group.

I love Gazzman but the name was a poor choice for the band. People should learn to stay from any name with religious affiliation when it comes to naming a band. I don't think people should not follow the band just bc of the name.

You guys are so blinded by your dislike for the man, you want to try and discredit THE CD....that's NOT even out officially...before it is released.
