KOMPA MAGAZINE spoke to J PERRY management member CARL FRED and asked him this question.

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: What will be done on your end to guarantee that J PERRY does not become a 1 HIT wonder in the HMI? I do not have the cd...but I was told that he only has 1 CREOLE song on the entire cd.
CARL FRED: "Out of 42 songs we chose 17 to put on the album. And 17 is more than the average. Creole songs: we have over 5 great creole songs that we will release one before summer. Cd has sold 4500 physical copies in haiti and has sold about just over 3000 copie on itunes. We haven't even started tapping the exterior market. So far we are very satisfied.

Jperry is a hit machine. Our goal has always been the crossover market. Dekole wasnt even part of the album. It was a last minute decision. In Haiti when jperry performs the public sings along to three songs: holdin on, chill with me, and dekole of course."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Is that to say that he has MORE than 1 hit song?
CARL FRED: "Yes no doubt! "

Dekole is a very nice and touchy tune.
I like it but don't know if I will listen to it much more because it sounded like a carnival song.
e nou konnen depi knaval fini, moun pa tande merengue anko....
mwen panse ke JPerry gen anpil potansyal men fok li retounen ak yon lot hit touswit pou kenbe momentum ke li pran ak Dekole ya....
Bonne chance...

Im following this dude very closely for a minute now. I may be wrong but I think his talent is bigger than most people think. But time will tell.

JPerry I put on my ONE TO WATCH category. This business is not easy and I have seen many a talented people and groups go by the waste side who had tons of potential and talent. I wish JPerry nothing but the best but I hope he has the backbone and perseverance because he will need it if he wants to be truly successful.
