This is a note sent to us by Florida radio personality ALIX MICHEL. The note is HIS VERSION....it speaks for itself on his behalf.
ALIX MICHEL: "Hi,
On Sunday March 11th, 2012 was the 12th edition of Madame Gougoose Soccer Competition. I am the host of the event and have been for the past three years. During the commencement of the competition, I was announcing the Broward 2012 Al Haitian Festival presented by Pedro Lucky, during this time one of the members of the Haitian Kompa Fest Jean Michel entered the booth where the announcers were seated during commentary and stated "PA BLIYE SE MIAMI OU YE LA" which was taken as a threat based on the demeanor and approach. Basically he was trying to tell me not to announce anything from Broward Festival in Miami. The other broadcasters in the booth were appalled. Michel Sully, Jerry and Polo. We all took this message as a threat to us when we are all doing our jobs as journalists." _________________ KOMPAMAGAZINE CONTACT INFO
