Exactly Pat...early June is NEXT WEEK....
What is lined up in terms of MARKETING.......I don't think I see any flier on this board about an album release party...any meet and greet...any special sale...any specific date of the release to create a rush..any special appearance by Dabentz in the live circuit or radio and t.v shows in Haiti and the Diaspora to promote the album...any press conference in sight...I can go on and on...but mwen bay asse poul laaaa deja....I think those guys found an investor,but a money giver who don't know left from right about the music business...
The time to talk about NEW SINGLE is gone...you need to tell people to look out for song X..Y and Z on THE ALBUM...and leave them thirsty....
Dabentz is a good singer, the band has some good musicians and some of them got the experience needed to move the stick closer to the goal line and to score a touchdown AS A TEAM, but if the marketing is not done right, if Dr Vastey wants to be the center of attention by being the quarterback, the running back, and his own wide receiver, he will fumble at one point or the other....I don't see any reason that it is Dr Vastey making and bringing all the news while he is NOT ONE OF THE STARS of the band....At this corner all concentrations should have been in PROMOTING DABENTZ and other stars of the band.. kote Rigor...kote Patrick Apollon...they are the one who supposed to come out and making noise and be seen wearing T.Shirt at the events...What was done at all the Compas events last weekend to promote the album in Florida?...NADA...Unless I miss something cuz I don't see any of them on the pictures and videos....I saw Richard Urbain taking advantage for his festival....I saw the guys of Dola taking advantage for their new album....their manager even went to France at the Foire de Paris to promote the album a couple of weeks ago...but what is Fidel doing...right now...TELLING US THERE IS SINGLE ON THE WAY...Talk is cheap...we want to see some actions....like I noted about Richard Urbain and Dola...
You don't wait for an album to be out to start planning...the time should be NOW...fliers about the album release party should have been out....Well enough advice..now go to work...but take a back seat...move to the back burner and let the artists shine....let them drive...
