HARMONIK PUT IN THE SPOTLIGHT BY STUDIO PRODUCER!

A popular studio producer talking to me about HARMONIK said that the group has the song to have a mega hit on this current record...unfortunately they did NOT use it.

STUDIO PRODUCER: "HARMONIK has this song on their cd entitled "I HEART U" that is HIT READY, Zouk Night friendly, and begging for a video. That is the song that they should have released FIRST off their cd instead of any other song. Had they pushed that track from the very beginning, they would have gotten a different result than what they have received so far. Don't get me wrong, THEY HAVE AN EXCELLENT CD, and that is what you call a MUSICIAN'S CD. CD KE MOUN KI APPRECIE BEL MIZIK KA KONPRAN. It showcases their talent and the level that they have gone to compared to the first cd.

PLAK YO A RED..but in this business, you also have to cater to what the fans want or expect from you, even if it is below your musical standards. The "I HEART YOU" song was simple, easy to learn and dance to. No complicated musical notes in there, which makes it PERFECT for the majority of the fans who listen to Compas. YO RINMIN BAGAY SIMPLE, and "I HEART YOU" would have been the perfect recipe as the first single to kick off the cd. I can't believe they slept on that song and let a potential hit song go through their hands."

Then of all songs the next one that got a video was the guitarist, like it was his turn, instead of doing one for the 2 above mentioned songs.

Harmonik's CD has songs that catered to both fans and melomanes.

That CD is so good that most new CDs coming out emulated chord progressions or even borrowed melodic or instrumental lines from that CD.

But no matter how good the CD is, without the adequate level of promotion, people will not want to hear it. The promotion for the project was definitely not up to par compared to their first.
