MINIMUM AN HMI GIGGER SHOULD GET IS $300 PER BAL SAYS.......

TURBO vocalist TI MITCH has this rather interesting remark about the HMI pay structure.

TI MITCH: "Out of respect for all the hard work that our musicians do, the minimum pay that a gigger should get per gig is $300 in my opinion. The only problem with that is the promoters don't pay the bands enough money for that to happen. Having said that, band leaders in the HMI, instead of pocketing most of the money for the gigs themselves, should really think about taking care of the musicians who work with you, to ensure that the band giggers are happy. I laugh when a gigger says that he is getting paid $150 for a tour of Haiti per gig. Are you kidding me? Haiti...$150? Come on. That is why me as a band leader of my band TURBO, even if I do not make any money, I make sure that I take care of the musicians who play with me."

Are u serious? The promoters don't pay the bands enough.

*Most bands now days are asking between $6000-7000
*Promoter gotta buy between 8-10 plane tickets, book 5 hotel rooms, feed the band members twice during the day
*Pay for advertising/place
*Pay for the venue/if u getting the bar you gotta buy alcohol

That's just to name a few things, and you got the nerves to say promoters don't pay bands enough money? At the end of the day after all the expenses if the party is not good only the promoter loose. Won't know band approach a promoter and say, you know what the party wasn't good let me give you some of the money back.

So get outta people face with that promoters don't pay bands enough.

$2400 - $4000 =$1600 THAT'S INCL BAND OWNER'S AT THE SAME PAY WITH GIGGER'S
