We just got this BREAKING NEWS from Antilles Mizik's Philippe Lavelanet.

It seems that a WELL KNOWN MEMBER OF THE HMI who also doubles as a record label/producer and musician was alledgedly caught by Philippe Lavelanet, doing bootleg copies of his cds. The factory where the alledged BOOTLEGGER went to do the cds sold him out, and apparently gave Philippe the NAME...ADDRESS... of the Bootlegger that was making illegal copies of Antilles Mizik's products.

*THE ALLEDGE BOOTLEGGER RESIDES IN MIAMI*

It seems that Lavelanet caught him red handed...when the alledge bootlegger tried to dispute it, Philippe pulled out the documents, and that's when he alledgedly confessed.

Philippe has apparently given him by TUESDAY evening/Wednesday morning for him to come up with the money to pay him for the illegal copies, or else he will apparently bring the law into this with lawyers and the police.

A SUIVRE!

PS: PLEASE DO NOT MENTION ANY NAMES in your replies if you plan to do so.

Thanks

KM!

I forgot to add that MIAMI is the town of choice where the alledged bootlegger resides.

A suivre.

A 48hr ultimatum isn't enough, we need to start setting an example. When these bootleggers start doing some hard time, or shoud I say a mandatory vaccation at the taxpayer's expense, then they'll learn not to bootlegg our artists and producers.

Antouka Pipo, good move.

Men KK. The year is ending in beauty!
radiocitadelle2006, please don't talk about what you don't know. The big bootleg problem is the unimpeded distribution of replicas of official CDs. If that is eliminated, profits for the real deal will skyrocket.
There will always be some compilations available on the net or otherwise. That isn't as big a deal (although it needs to be tackled as well). What needs to stop first is the proliferation of CDs that "almost" look like the real deal.

Ok. Now pat can you find out if he can also SUE the factory??? BIGGER FISH!!! They were NOT supposed to replicate the CDs WITHOUT Antilles Mizik permission Idea Philip has the BIGGEST opportunity to SET an Example. He will definitely make more money than if he settles + this will be a perfect way to catch some more of them. I KNOW That ther are more fishes in this department. Philip, boul la nan pie ou...banm yon ti pass Wink
