I think this is a very important question.
Haitian society might be perceived as beingmore conservative when it comes to homosexuality.
But in actuality is it?
I know for a fact that the women are very open about it. They are seen at the bals. They are seen in the streets holding hands.
Had men dating women who are lesbians not been a big problem, Zenglen would have never gotten away with the song "flanne femelle."
Where did they get the idea from?
There are also some neighborhoods near downtown port-au-prince where some men are openly gay. Young men who are not gay avoid being seen with them so that people do not perceive them to be gay as well.
A few years ago, aaaaa who were infected with HIV in STMARC took to the streets to say yes they are ssssss and yes they are infected with HIV!
All of this in a supposedly conservative society regarding homosexuality!
Let's not talk about the young men adn women who get involved in these things because of financial need. _________________ "LOVE NEVER REASONS, BUT PROFUSELY GIVES; GIVES LIKE A THOUGHTLESS PRODIGAL, ITS ALL, AND TREMBLES THEN LEST IT HAS DONE TOO LITTLE_ HANNAH MOORE |
