Ok here it is...Carnival day 3....2/5/08
Again I'm the last to go to bed the night before and the first one up...my girls still think I'm on crack ...I try waking them up so we can get some breakfast but its not happening. one is sick and the other is in lala land and you can't talk to her when she's asleep so mwen resigine'm and went to breakfast by myself. BTW...I have to eat breakfast because when there's alcohol in my system I need nutrients to sustain myself for the day. Breakfast was kind of nerve racking and I really didn't want to be there by myself but I survived. A nice gentleman decided to keep me company and wanted to go down his resume with me and such...I really wasn't impressed but whateva I obliged I thanked him for keeping me company and I left and tried getting the girls to get up again but my one friend is still in lala land and my other one is still sick so I pick up my laptop and start e-mailing and such and jump on KM of course. Then lo and behold who calls my Digicel but the old boy from Miami who's in town...(smiling to myself)...he told me that he got into it last night with some people and he got hurt but he will be participating in carnival tonight and hopes to see me ...ok we'll see, I won't hold my breath. So I hung out at the pool the rest of the day and met up with my hotel friends and chit chatted and tried to figure out which stand I'm going to be on that night..the girls and I figure to just stay on the stand that we were on for the night because it made no sense to pay for another stand for our last night. Made arrangements for my uncle to come get us in the am for tomm because we're checking out.And made some other phonecalls to the states and friends in Haiti. My girls are finally up and that's when I decide that I need to rest. Got my rest on, ate some dinner. got a couple of drinks and went to the stand.. Day 3 is so bittersweet because I know carnival is ending and that also signifies an end to my vacay sort of. Either way I'm on the stand run into my hotel buddies and we're having too much fun...made some new friends with these older people who were from Jacmel and they were bugging out with us as well dancing and singing. My Connecticut hotel buddies are bugging out with us as well and at one point I have to take a seat because I'm about to pass out and my Connecticut cutie gets me a drink of water...how sweet but guess who comes along and ruins the day...that's right folks...old boy from the MIA...what's up with these MIA boys ...either way next thing you know I turn around and see old Miami boy on my stand and I'm like how'd you get up here...Mind you I'm speaking fluent french or what I think is fluent french now because je suis en *a*a Either way here's the dilema folks men T-vice ap vini et monsieur'a di'm en alle because he's taking me to a better stand where there's less people and I get a better vantage point but I'm like T-vice is here and he says we gotta go now because we'll get lost in the mayhem....ohhhhh boooyy!!!! As I'm leaving Connecticut cutie asks who's that and I say my cousin I don't think he believed me but whateva. He says he'll leave me his number...I say ok and pisawout However I did catch a glimpse of Vice la as they were making their way down the parcours on my stand and then I left and was stuck downstairs because of the mayhem they call the foule and I was determined not to step outside this time until the crowd subsided. So after the poeple pass we made it to the other stand...it was actually pretty decent and facing both the Digicel and Voila stand. Then RAM passes and I was so happy to see them and then finally I get to see Djakout pass with music and it was so much fun...I actually liked their carnival but when they started going viv Djakout aba T-vice I kept shushing the people around me and said that they can't say that Of course they just laughed at me... well that's about it Carnival was over and I headed back home...said goodbye to old boy and said thank you and then he started to lose it and wanted to talk about us Either way that was my Carnival experience...sooo much fun...only regret was losing my camera but everything elses was beautiful, my bouts of attitude, my GIANTS winning, my restlessness was all worth it and I recommend each and every one of you to enjoy it as well and at least experience once in your life. I finally got it out of my system now. _________________ "Mwen di non, AYITI PAP KRAZE!!!!" |
