We received this note today in our KM Mailbox. Check it out.
_____________________________________________________________

To Touchedouce, Patrick Fabre & Kyafa Entertainment and the organizers of disip vs Djakout le 23 avril 2010 at Tatiana's;

I am writing this to provide some constructive critism that will hopefully result in a better HMI product.

Last weekend, I decided to take my wife to the disip vs Djakout bal on April 23, 2010 at Tatiana's in part to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

1. I was aghast as the fundamental lack of respect for people; There were no chairs for people to sit. I know you have to make $$ but sa se yon manque d'egard et yon manque de respect pour fanatic Kompa!

I started asking about how we could sit in "VIP" section that had chairs. They told me I had to pay extra AND buy a bottle - OK pas gin problem - se fêté mwen vin fêté! So I ask the russians how much for a bottle of champagne? $160. So after paying $50 for two tickets, I am supposed to pay another $40 for VIP and another $160 for a "bottle"...so that my wife can have a seat...give me a break!!! Se ki jan de raket sa ye la?

My wife's feet were hurting and so she had to sit on the floor. Actually, she said "an alé..." but li te fe yon ti reté an plis pou fe'm pleyiz.

Gin yon lot jan sa ka gerer: have chairs placed along the walls. Thay way you still have the open space but if someone is tired they can sit down.

2. Get rid of the half time "entertainment". DJ PAZ at halftime was louder than both bands. All this guy this did was make noise. The music was pounding and giving us a headache. My wife was pleading for us to leave. There is no need for it. Just let there be a break between the bands. la paix nan tête!

3. Messieurs Djakout yo(et mwen se fanatic jazz peyi-a) palé anpil- Just deposé Kompa! Roro tap radoté about respect pou famn - bon medam-yo pat meme gin koté pou yo chita! Eské nou respecté femme la?

Conclusion:

Mesami, mwen mande repect pou fanatic!

Tankou zenglen di "Do it Right!". Kompa se yon lò li ye! Messieurs tamprie gerer-l bien!

Respect,

Daniel Albert

Bon mwen pense patne sa victime prop bad choice li as a way to celebrate a special occasion. I would understand it better if the party was advertise as a gala affair or promoted differently but yon regular bal, yo don't expect to have chairs in a club for people to sit.
DJakout la se djazz lobey, sometimes it's good to hear them ap bay blague tnakou micky konn fe minus teh betiz.....I think this fan came out the wrong night or event to celebrate a wonderfull moment.

I am surprised by the repsonses to Daniel post... He is absolutely 1000% right !!! It seems to me that he is not the victim of his bad choice but the vistim of the exploitation by the promoters and events organizer... I think it is very disrespectful for someone to ask someone to pay for a party then asking more money for a chair to sit down and enforcing on someone to buy a bottle of booz... what happens if I do not drink...

I will tell you this... Whenever I go to a party, I will find my self a table wherever there is one.... I do not give ashit if you calll it VIP, luxury, bouda nini.. I will sit down... Sak gin grin-n nan dadal la fe'm leve.....
In fact, I got that down to a science... One thing that I will not do, is to pay more for a VIP section.... What is a VIP section.. a danm chair... I can understand if VIP has its own dancing section with table chairs and bar...I am ok if you ask me to buy a bottle.... 99% of the time, I never buy them anyway !!!!

For some to respond like you did to his post said a lot about the expectation of haitians in general.... Why can't you stand for what is right rather than say he should not go to this kind of venue for his anniversary... This is so idiomatic to make such a statement... Are our events that low !!!!

That is his right and if haitians cannot provide a quality of service to his people then they should be boycott.... A lot of you by accepting such an insult are adding to the problem.. Instead of being united to make changes, we are promoting those insults...

I feel sorry for the brother.... That is not his fault... It is the fault of the blood suckers who try to suck his pocket for just a danm chair that they should have provided to begin with.... Until we fight back, this insult will continue....Our expectation of ourselves is very freakin low, no wonder society treats haitian like shit at times.... This is a danm shame....

You’re right and it is sad because I know that FEU VERT night club and TROPICANA night club have plenty of chairs and tables.
Inside those clubs at least back in the days, the people who stand were doing so by choice.
One other thing is that the promoters get away with this nonsense because people like this couple doesn’t go out often and those teenagers don’t care to have table and chairs to sit with their friends.

Sorry to hear that Daniel...

I've always said that bal goers are paying for less.... Se mizisyen yo AND promoters yo ki mete ansanm to jack up prices and make other sleazy deals.

Don't you think if the top 5 bands put together and say they wont play under these conditions, hat do you think the promoters will do? They'll adjust.

Kontinye peye bills atis mache nan bal....
