Nan lyrics yo mwen pa we kote misye pale de sal fe ak lajan YELE te ranmase apre earth quake la non.
Yo toujou di'm depi ou we yon moun ap reproche'w se paske sal te ba ou a li pat ba ou'l ak tout kel.
I know Clef is upset because he couldn't participate in the election, but the law is the law and nobody should be above the law regardless of who you are. If he really wanted to help Haiti on that aspect, he would have still been involved in Haiti right now, getting to know the people, put himself in a situation to be able to lead effectively as a leader. You are an outsider for a reason and the reason is because you're NEVER there.

La lwa se la lwa,li ta sipoze san pati pri.Pou kisa li aplike pou Wyclef Jean yonn nan pi gwo patriyot ke nou genyen, yon sitwayen ki pran drapo nou an,li leve li byen wo nan lemonn antye.Epi li pa ka aplike pou yon VAGABON tankou Michel Martelly ki gen yon PASSPORT ameriken nan bouda poch li e Jodi a li se prezidan an Ayiti ? Se sa la LWA ?

-Sispann pale tenten tande zanmi.

Wyclef li menm just pote boure epi li te bezwen prezidan. I don't think Wyclef has ever spent a full two weeks in Haiti as an adult.

ou blye ou fem pedi contrat avek Sony, Ti frere’m fache li di m’pap jam tounin ayiti, pou jan ou di li rinmin’w gade jan li trayi’w,

I would like some serious explanation about this line....

This song sounds like someone who is saying PRAN PITIE POU MWEN SOUPLE....
I don't see how you could blame HAITI for your MISTAKES...and whatever else...that you need to take responsibility for YOUR bad to worse DECISIONS...

AVANSE AVANSE PA VINN PLENYEN SOU MOUN....(Scorpio)

The media have painted a negative image of Cleff. A media that use him as a tool. The same media that made him successful can take that popularity away or even kill the switch whenever they want. The mass are like kids to the media. He is not stupid enough to turn the grudge against his masters, but doing it toward his own people, my man is dangerous business, for himself and Haitians in general. He is just putting stamp on the "Haiti" Stigma - "Hai - Hair" "Ti - les Tiens". Clef been a product of the american culture made him a better medium to get Haitians some respect within the uneducated black communities. He also comes out as a hero to the world that has been fed the sad stories for so long. But we haitians are use to stand for ourselves. We just have a lack of leadership that help the media paint these ugly pictures. So Being Haitian gave him a story to tell, like thousand of great haitian students, doctors, engineers ect... who are contributing greatly and respectfully to the US economy. The only difference is they never had a media to expose them.

Manyen bay bouch nou manje sispann pale tenten sou neg la, li fin bay Ayiti tan'l ak kouraj li, li depanse kob li, li mete kanpe yon oganizasyon sou pye pou ede nou, nou tout kap pale k@k@ sou neg la, ak tout lot oganizasyon gran manjè yo, nou poko janm vini ak yon pwev.Bann Haters nou ta renmen nan plas, bann ti kriye..

Agreed.

There are a lot of politics behind what happened to YELE and Clef. What happened with Wyclef and the current administration relationship? All that he did for the elections? Wyclef was a vital part of the past elections. Certain things have to be proven and I’m still waiting for those allegations to be proven.

I’m not saying Clef is innocent of all cause. Mais, mwen bezwen yo vini demanti’l nan chante sa. Clef di li te depanse wi nan eleksyon.

I read quite a few lines about Cleff lyrics, some of them are valid points. We need to admit Cleff made some mistakes in the way he handled the crisis that Mr Shawn Penn bought to light. The article that came out in the New York post about YELEE's handling of the money after the earthquake, is very confusing and not quite clear. Giving money to friend or family's businesses that later turn to be not registered legally in the US, can hurt anyone not only Cleff if it's proven to be true. This was one of the biggest point in the article that i read.

Folks, what Cleff was about to do with FUGEES back in the days in the name of Haiti, should help us fight bad criticism not just killing his credibility. Now, y'all need to understand, Cleff is the reason why we have Martelly as President today, we shall never forget the good time he had with his flag on MTV,BET,World Cup etc...those days made us all proud. Today, as Haitian brothers, we have to at least give him the credit he deserves, and have a bit of compassion to think of him as a human being.

There's lots of Haitian American stars that are out there who could have done as much as what Cleff did, but they refuse to even let people know they have Haitian in their blood. Today, we gotta look at the amount of sacrifices he made for Haiti throughout the whole time not just his charities. I believe if Cleff could have gone back to clear one of the error that he made in his entire life, coming to this Election would have been the number one and YELEE the second.
