2013 KM MUSIC AWARD NOMINATIONS! (GROUP OF THE YEAR)
Listed in ALPHABETICAL ORDER

THE NOMINEES ARE:

A) CARIMI: Carimi still managed to remain relevant despite not having any new cds until October. Did good for a group with no new material in terms of the Live scene.

B) GABEL: VISUAL MARKETING was taken to a whole other level by this group (Music Videos) in order to make sure that their presence was always felt no matter what throughout the year.

C) HARMONIK: When a band has a song that is huge all over the HMI world to the point that it is being acknowledged by people from all over the map...that is a major statement....and that's the only thing they had out for the year.

D) JBEATZ/DA BEATZ: One of the top 2 bands played the most at parties/clubs, as well as on the DJ circuit. Live, has the ladies singing their tunes word for word. Has done well SEVERAL TIMES in certain towns where THE BIG BOYS have failed in terms of attendance. A Breakthrough year for the artist/group.

E) KLASS: Popular cd, songs, sold out shows all over HMI world..including the Haiti tour. Kick ass marketing that was and still is the talk of the business.

F) KREYOL LA: Like a well oiled machine, they continued to keep on trucking from their very hot 2012....without any new material. Simply a band that kept it steady and was simply booked all over HMI land.

G) T-VICE: After missing out on a nomination in this category last year, it's fair to say that they have kicked it up with a brand new cd. Just went through a very messy change of musicians a few weeks back, but with their experience, still manage to remain relevant.

H) ZENGLEN: When most did not believe that they would do anything after the departure of their former maestro Richie, they shocked the HMI by delivering a HIT cd, which also included their biggest hit song in years in "Rezilta".

I) 5 LAN: Had always been dismissed by musicians of other bands as a house/club DJ band; but in 2013 they kicked it up a notch. A Club/DJ circuit favorite; and now they are also very much in demand on the Bal circuit as well being teamed up with more established bands.

KLASS tout boulin for all the reasons listed above.
Zenglen is my other choice, because all critics expected them to fade away and to fail after Richie's departure, and they still manage to change the game with a kick ass album.
in my opinion many will vote for Carimi for their accomplishments this year with INVASION

DONCUE

CARIMI's INVASION came out too late to have any effect for THIS YEAR. I think 2014 (next year) is when it will be reflected in our votes/nominations.
CUT OFF TIME OF OCTOBER 2013.

KM!

Klass only made it happen when they went 2 haiti and forth ..

Before then .. Klass struggled !

Zenglen on the other hand has been consistant the whole year

And they have the only hit song out for this year!

Klass might be the sexy choice and win.

But zenglen resume is more complete !

Klass all the way. Klass did not struggle because of materials since their CD came out when Pipo joined the group. Any assessment should be made on when their CD came out going forward.

Wow its pretty tought this year. But I'll go with Zenglen. Klass and Tvice have the momentum cause their albulm is more recent. But should zenglen should get in my opinion. But I won't be surprise if klass or tvice get it
