|
|
------------------------------------------------------------
SHOULD BRUTUS follow the "RULE WITH AN IRON FIST" route in ZENGLEN like some of his other maestros in the game do? Would that be the solution to help Zenglen AVOID all the drama that they seem to go through?
Let's take some examples. Take a look at Nu Look's ARLY LARIVIERE; even though by all accounts he seems to have mellowed a little bit NOW, compared to the way he used to be let's say back in Dzine, or the early Nu Look years; the bottom line remains that THERE IS NEVER ANY MISTAKE as to WHO has the FINAL WORD when it comes to Nu Look affairs. Every musician in that band KNOWS who's the final say and if they don't abide by his code of ethics or rules, they could be in hot water.
You take KLASS and RICHIE for example. Even though all indications are that Richie is not ruling Klass like an iron fist the same way that he was "THE" major musical boss with other responsabilities in Zenglen; because you get the feeling that PIPO has a lot of weight in the group when it comes to BOOKINGS and OTHER affairs; and to a lesser extent, Nixon, manager Herve Bastien, and maybe Pozo; make no bones about it that when it comes to MUSICAL AFFAIRS in the band and ON STAGE, Klass has only 1 leader that goes by the name of Richie. That is something that Pipo is OK with because Pipo has demonstrated to me on a couple of occasions DIRECTLY that he is a TEAM player. But MUSIC and STAGE...ONE LEADER...Richie.
You go to DISIP, there is absolutely no doubt that the band has 2 leaders in Patrick Fabre and Gazzman; but most likely by all accounts, if Gazzman does not give his blessings to something, chances are it will not happen.
With ZENGLEN, everyone knows that BRUTUS is the leader; there is no doubt about that; but for some reason, you get the impression that there is NO FEAR FACTOR from all the members in the band when it comes to Brutus. You don't get the impression that whatever Brutus says GOES.....or if BRUTUS says "DEVAN", you will see some members CLEARLY SHOW that they are NOT on the same page IF they are not happy with the decision. WHY IS THAT?
Is it because BRUTUS wants to lead in a DEMOCRATIC way and give the others, or some of the others in the band, that he values their input in the business? Is it because BRUTUS does not have the GNB character to PASS AN ORDER and tell everyone to STICK TO THE SAME PAGE without any complaints? Is it because he has always shared POWERS in the band whether it be with Richie, or manager Bellande Georges, or Archill, or now Roro at the same time; that the musicians in the band MIGHT always think that BRUTUS is "sharing" power and NOT the one and only man calling the shots?
Whatever the reason...BRUTUS might need to go the "RULE WITH AN IRON FIST" route in Zenglen in order to fix the many issues that the band might currently be having in the discipline and other departments.
Does BRUTUS have that GNB character to RULE LIKE AN IRON FIST? Does he want to? That might be the difference in ZENGLEN's survival!

Brutus is a great GM in my opinion but not a leader. Maybe a lessez faire type leadership.

That will be a great strategy for Brutus to use but unfortunately it's too late for that. Pe Brut has already exposed his 'Democratic" or "Team Player" side when it comes to Zenglen and it's already too late to reverse that.
Let's say Brutus does start ruling with an iron fist, what musician will take him seriously? They'll know he's just doing it because KM wrote an article about it lol. _________________ ***The Fewer The Facts, The Stronger The Opinion*** |

To me you cannot lead with fear....Brutus se yon neg ke m'apresye pou kouraj li avek deteminasyon'l'. Men ou ka we ke misye te UNDER PRESSURE avek Reginald. Ou ka we ke misye pe pou Reggie pa kite djaz la.
