In the HMI, most times, the top bands stay away from releasing new cds or singles at the end of the year because it is so close to carnaval. In Haiti, once the calendar hits January 1st, everyone seems to be focused on carnaval. We wanted to know why T-VICE plans to release their new single at MUSIC EN FOLIE in November, just a couple of weeks before carnaval season (Not festivities), hit the streets.

KM: Why should YOU or any other band release a single in NOVEMBER, since in Haiti, once the first of January comes, people forget about anything EXCEPT FOR CARNAVAL. Aren't you taking a RISK releasing this single AT THAT TIME, with the chance that it might go to waste once JANUARY 1st comes around?
ROBERTO: " I don't see why it should be a problem... Carnaval is late february and from now till then the band will perform every weekend not counting the month of december where we will perform for at least 20 days straight!
The single will bring a breath of fresh air to the kitem viv album until the new release right after carnaval season..Don't forget that independence fest is in january as well so having some new material will never hurt au contraire!"

T-VICE always releases UPTEMPO tracks as their first single leading to a CD. "KITEM' VIV", "4 LAS" are good examples.
