The triple doesagain and proves to be a sure winner. Yesterday was the annual karnaval des enfants held a La Canne a Sucre. Voila striked a hit yesterday and presented T-Vice, Kako and Kreyol La, a winning combination if I ever saw one. We, as Djazz la Jeunesse la, love to see kids have fun and let loose. Though in some of the pictures, I see more than kids, lots no little kids as well
Overall, everyone had fun, kids and grownups...Enjoy the shots!

I am probably going to regret even answering this thread. But, I do want to point out a couple of things.

This is an annual event. Obviously it didn't happen last year, but it has been going on for a couple years now. This was a private event, so NO it was not free. Kreyol La/Kako and T-Vice for that matter are for profit organizations and for as much as we, Kreyol La, try to help and support the community, making money is how we survive. The name and theme of the party was Karnaval des Enfants.
As a band, we are huge about giving back as such I resent the statement about Timoun cite soley yo. I could post the countless pictures about individual members going to empovrished areas to provide some food, money, comfort to those less fortunate. They do it as individuals and as a team. We CHOOSE not to promote it, because truly that's not the end goal. Just after their last tour, the day they got to Haiti, they went straight to Cite Soley to play soccer with the kids and bring them food. (Pat is on twitter, I'm sure he can trace back Vladous' post and show them as evidence.) Charity is something that comes from the heart, it's not meant to be publicized or made a promotional event. Kreyol La doesn't stand for that, I don't stand for that.
So yes, this was a FOR PROFIT event. It was a PAID event and we're not ashamed of it.
You want a carnaval for the Cite Soley kids, reach out to the government and the officials. Mande Preval. Kreyol La doesn't have the infrastructure nor the logistics to put on such an event.
