SOB's PAPA JUBE was extremely surprised by the declaration made by FIDEL top dog DR VASTEY to KM this morning about a club on "VARICK STREET" not opening its doors to his group FIDEL, which he felt was a jab at HIM.
JUBE sent us this note along with this link of FIDEL Pictures at SOBS...with DR VASTEY sitting in the VIP area.
JUBE: "Greetings Pat
Hope you are well my brother, after reading the post from Dr. Vatsey or whatever his name is. I thought I would send you these pictures taken by you / KOMPAMAGAZINE thank you for keeping those pictures in the KM archives!!!....now, please correct me if I am wrong, but isn't a picture of that same Doctor sitting in the VIP at the "Club on Varick St" also known as SOBS? I think the Doctor needs help, please help him.
Pat, I have given just about every band in the community the opportunity to perform on VARICK ST, but at the end of the day, it's a business we are running, not a charity organization. As few of the wise members told him on the blog, he needs a hot song, good following and his phone will be ringing. But, Patrick please remind him of that day, the exact date was:
FRIDAY OCTOBER 14th 2011......on a double bill with FIDEL & "U-TURN"

PS: KM was NOT there that day actually. These might actually be FIDEL's OFFICIAL Pictures from their photographer.

| e pi Dr Vastey bay moun tet yo. Business is Business, if I had money I would build the nicest haitian venue and I swear I won't tolerate any crapy band to come in my venue unless you can guaranty me a good return. If Jube allowed your band to play at SOB's he was doing you a big favor because according to the pictures it look like Fidel was playing for friends and family. Again bay noun get yo. |
