KM spoke to DISIP drummer JEAN while they are on tour in Haiti. Check it out.


1) How has this DISIP Haiti Summer tour been going so far? Give us a quick rundown.
JEAN: "To my surprise its doing very good we havent had a bad night so far the ppl come to the bal n they now all the songs. The songs that's doing it for us are leader, madanm mwen n poukisa of course."

2) You say "to your surprise”. WHY is it a surprise to you?
JEAN: "Surprise was the fisrt day of kanaval. Arcahaie it was a packed house. So called haters saying Disip pap regle an yen lolll. Quietly we are doing our thing in Haiti bro trust me."

3) Can that HAITI tour success translate into the parties in the U.S once you guys come back?
JEAN: "We hope so. I can say that Gazzman is still the man in Haiti no doubt.

4) Is DISIP having the top tour in Haiti so far in your opinion?
JEAN: "I'm not gonna say top; but we are in the mix just don't sleep on us."

5) What strategies do you think the band needs in order to get back on track in the U.S market?
JEAN: "Stay off drama, more promotions n work. We have the tools. We are playing far none the best kompa. Most of all we have couleur a ..loll."

6) Why do you think the band’s popularity seems to have gone down; this despite the fact that you have a recent cd; and play great LIVE?
JEAN: "I can't really explain that i still try to figure that out.But i can say this we be back!!!!"

7) If DISIP does NOT know the problem; how can IT be solved?
JEAN: "I said "I". I didn't say Disip...lol. Well they were a lot of negativity towards the band; so I guess the fans doubted if we were for real. We've learnt and we gonna grow from it."
