The last time I was schocked like this is when KK broke up.

My goodness...

I stopped being a CARIMI fan a long time ago. But this still
Hurts.

This one HURTS me as a fan and this break up HURTS the HMI.

I won't get into it because I'm still in shock but to all members of CaRiMi I will simply say at this time THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC and the MEMORIES.

Enfin!

Yeah I could have seen this coming Miles away. I was shocked the first time MG took a break from the band. I knew it
wouldn't last long. I'm just waiting for the facts to come out on why the band broke up. I hope it's not over some females like the rumor came up the first time. Sad for the HMI.

From a personal standpoint I want to say THANK YOU to CaRiMi for their contributions and accomplishments to the HMI. From Day 1 of their journey they created an impact in the business and have probably been the most successful band (money-wise and international markets) there has ever been not named Kassav or Tabou Combo.

With that said, the core group that made CaRiMi the brand (the 3 members plus Fito, the manager) they collectively created a sound business strategy that has proven to be lucrative for them and sustaining. These guys are highly educated and savvy businessmen that invested wisely and were not operating like a majority of bands that struggle to make payroll or that have to take all the gigs possible to keep income generated.

All of this is important to note why the decision came down to breakup. while "Ca" & "Ri" couldve probably continued onward and added a new "Mi" - they technically had already proven it could be done relatively quickly with their option of MikaBen (unofficial member).; but it was not going to be good for business long term.

I have no doubt that Carlo, Richard and even Michael have no plans to stop making music and investing into the HMI; they just can no longer do it as partners. they no longer can put whatever internal issues aside to make things work like they have been doing for a while it seems. Each has ownership in the company and probably its trademark/copyrights so unlike other HMi breakups of so-called owners, this one is legit and the financial penalties and ramifications are too great to be taken lightly.

It is best to sever ties with each other legally keep the brand/image of CaRiMi intact and start on their new chapters of their lives, where ever they may lead.

Thanks for the Memories!
